In August 2024, I had the privilege of photographing a truly unique wedding that beautifully brought together cultures, countries, and a love story. Sanja, originally from Slovenia, and Kristian, a Slovak, chose to say their vows in Hungary-a location perfectly situated between their home countries. Their chosen venue, the breathtaking Festetics Castle in Deg, was the perfect setting for their wedding.
Living in Switzerland, Sanja and Kristian’s guest list included family and friends from all over, making their wedding a wonderful mix of languages and traditions.
Every little detail of the day was so well thought out, thanks to Sanja and her amazing wedding planner, Féth Tímea. From the elegant décor to all the personal touches, you could really see their style and vision come to life. One thing that stood out to me was how much care they put into making sure the kids had a great time too—they had their own special play area packed with toys and fun activities, keeping them happy and entertained all day long.
This was my first wedding in Hungary, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Festetics Castle was absolutely stunning, everyone was so welcoming, and everything ran smoothly. It was such an honor to capture Sanja and Kristian’s fairytale day in such a magical setting.
