Wedding Photography | Žička Kartuzija

Claudia and Rok picked the most fairytale location for their wedding in Slovenia. They decided to say their “I do” in Žička kartuzija. This place used to be a Carthusian Monastery, founded in 1160. But enough about the history, lets get back to their special day.

The two things I will never forget about their wedding are perfect wedding planning and decoration by Luka and Ben and amazing music. Luka and Ben really took care of every detail from bride’s hair and make up to all the pretty flowers that were surrounding us. Colors were pretty pastels, which I absolutely adore. Kjut dizajn took care of all the stationary. And the other thing that left us speechless?

It started with a church ceremony, where Marjan Novina sang their special song and made half of the people shred a couple of tears. This was a surprise from the groom and as you can see from the photos, the bride was more than happy :).

After the church ceremony, we continued to the place of the civil ceremony. When we arrived to Žička kartuzija, we started photographing as crazy. So many beautiful details that we wanted to capture. Wow, Luka and Ben really know what they are doing.

After the ceremony, we took some time to catch the last sun rays for their wedding portraits. The landscape in Žicka katuzija really offers a lot of beautiful views, so it was not hard to find different places for the photoshoot.

Their day quickly turned into night and the party under the stars has started. We were under a see-through tent that was decorated with christmas lights. If you add amazing flower bouquets to every table, you get a breathtaking scenery.

At midnight Claudia and Rok cut the first slice of their wedding cake. It was decorated in a beautiful silver-pink combination with some fresh flowers. And guess who made the cake? Yes, it was also Luka and Ben. Is there anything they can’t do? I don’t think so.

After midnight, there was a special surprise for the bride and groom from the bride’s parents. Since she is a big fan of Elvis Presley, they booked “Slovenian Elvis” (Rok Ferengja, Rok ‘n’ Band) to come to the wedding and sing a few songs. It really was a unique moment that took quite some time for the bride to stop crying of happiness.

They danced long into the night and continued to have a blast. Thanks again C and R for your trust in our work.
